Totally independent
I’m a totally independent building surveyor. I’m not part of a large chains of surveyors or one of the in-house surveyors which have a conflict of interest because they are working with the estate agent selling the property.

Background
I trained as an Architectural Hardware consultant and was involved within prestige projects such as the building of the Canary Wharf area in London and the development of the Docklands area. Later I decided to retrain as a surveyor using the Surveyors and Valuers Association (SAVA) route. I was awarded a diploma from the Awarding Body for the Built Environment examination board. I also belong to SAVA and the Residential Property Surveyors Association who audit my surveys four times a year for quality and correct reporting of defects.
